THE ART OF JUDGING A BOOK BY IT'S COVER

Travelling along the path carved by the biased and self-righteous society, we are not unfamiliar with one of the hypocritic statements,

"Don't judge a book by its cover."

The statement has its share of truth, it sounds unfair to draw any opinion or judgment on a situation without acknowledging the whole picture.

But surprise, surprise!!

We have our judgy 'padoshwali' aunty, know-it-all 'ristedaars' and future-predicting parents.

Of course, the real world doesn't work that way.

It has taken the saying as only a 'saying' literally. The world does judge the book by its cover. We all do consciously or not. Falsely accusing an innocent as a pickpocket in public just from the face and even predicting the reaction of a random person, at times it's to the point, and sometimes not.

Well, let me take you to the brighter side of the theory.

It's an art. It's the art of judging the present with previously known patterns while our brain has a high affinity for patterns. It keeps evolving and adjusting to new scenarios with the previously known patterns.

There exists a particular layer in the brain that is responsible for recognizing patterns called the Neocortex.

                                      Neocortex

According to Ray Kurzweil in his book "How to Create a Mind", he explains that the basic structure of the Neocortex is arranged around groups of neurons called pattern recognizers estimated to be 300 million in number. Kurzweil proposed that these recognizers can rewire themselves to one another to account for the new visual, number, nature, word, and people patterns we learn over time.

                                                                         How To Create A Mind

Think about it, this can be a superpower for predicting the next while manipulating the situation in our terms. Something that we always have done, but in a way, preferably more efficient. All you need is proper observation and fair judgment.

Life in rural areas

Life in rural areas   Far away from hustle and bustle, there are places where people still prefer living in the simplest way that disconnects them from all the distractions of the urban areas. The greenery of the rural suburbs is the ultimate beauty of the villages which sets them apart from other inhabitable places. Not only are the rural neighbourhoods quieter and more picturesque, but they also provide a better and improved quality of life. It has also been found that being more connected to the countryside can have a very positive impact on wellbeing, helping to improve the quality of life as the residents have nature and wildlife all around them. Wildlife is more frequently found in rural areas than in cities because of the absence of people and buildings.     The view of the herd of cattles grazing over the fields, the fishes swimming in the distinct ponds having lotuses protruding from t...

Dream’s End

I had a fever dream, of a utopian state A town with no slaves A city with no plagues A flawless place Somewhere I can feel free Where I can be the real me Where the crooks don't steal Where dreams aren't killed Where every obligation is fulfilled And lives are more than just red and blue pills Where the birds don't have to sing inside cages And love isn't just some ink on torn pages Where colors don't fade And we're not divided by borders or races And we don't have to read between the spaces And we're not forced to sing each other's praises Where the world is at peace Where heaven and earth meet A place where a perfect society could be. -Ayush Tripathi
