THE ART OF JUDGING A BOOK BY IT'S COVER

Travelling along the path carved by the biased and self-righteous society, we are not unfamiliar with one of the hypocritic statements,             "Don't judge a book by its cover." The statement has its share of truth, it sounds unfair to draw any opinion or judgment on a situation without acknowledging the whole picture. But surprise, surprise!! We have our judgy ' padoshwali ' aunty, know-it-all ' ristedaars ' and  future-predicting parents. Of course, the real world doesn't work that way.  It has taken the saying as only a 'saying' literally. The world does judge the book by its cover. We all do consciously or not.  Falsely accusing an innocent as a pickpocket in public just from the face and even predicting the reaction of a random person,  at times it's to the point, and sometimes not. Well, let me take you to the brighter side of the theory . It's an art. It's the art of judging the present with previously known patterns wh

SECURITY IN CLOUD COMPUTING

DEB BISWAS  Affiliation (Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India) 1941012412.c.debbiswas @gmail.com     Abstract:                                                              (image source: Nunatix)                                                              As the major technological organizations are shifting to store data on cloud the demand for cloud storage is rapidly increasing. Though there are major barriers in using the cloud as the primary storage the topmost is privacy and security. In today’s world data leak of users of some major applications have become a hot topic for discussion. This paper will cover various aspects of security breaches in cloud computing and how they can be avoided. Cloud Security is been starting to become a major topic in today's world as most of our internet consumption data are cloud-based and most of us has been storing our personal data and in

Are you trend-ing?

Did you listen to that new song Justin Bieber released?  How can you still be watching Rick & Morty; I’m waiting for the new season of Money Heist? Seriously, who wears bell-bottoms these days? These are quite some phrases that you get to hear when you are not really ready to let go of the trends of the 00s (and of course, the 90s). The youth of today stand real close to technology. But back when we were in school? I guess a couple episodes of Doraemon, a cricket playground and the regular but futile rant for homework sufficed the appetite. And today? Are you cool if you don’t binge your favorite series, submit your practical reports in a PDF and play some awesome-graphic-I-can-never-get-tired-of-this computer game? Well, not sure. Growing up, we saw how much unlike the kids of today we were back in Kindergarten. While things have become “cooler” with the introduction of new fashion trends, technology and start-ups, the

Quantum Supremacy

QUANTUM COMPUTING   WALK-THROUGH   Quantum Computers   fundamentally differ from ordinary computers. In normal computers the information in a classical bit is stored as 0 or 1 whereas a quantum bit more precisely a qubit can store 0 or 1 at the same time. Qubits are composed of subatomic particles so they work in coherence with the subatomic logic. Qubits can be 0,1 or a linear combination of 0 and 1. Quantum computers can perform certain tasks exponentially faster than the classical computers  which is what makes them more intriguing.                  Efficient Database Searching Database searching is one such field. In a classical computer to find anything in a database may require testing of every single one of its entries. On the other hand, quantum algorithms are capable of performing the same task in square root of that time.        Enhanced Security  Systems with quantum computers    IT security is another attribute of quantum compute

The Visage

The Visage    S taring at my visage  The world saw a bright face  but do you know the darkness  I faced Do you dare to see the tears  that spread across my face  Do you see only when i am bright  or do you see when i am blue  Can you tell i'm screaming ?  out for the help i need  or i am just the silence  of a winter night  Do you see the cold knife  that stabs my old life  as i started living on the edge  like a withered sedge  Do you see unflawed me  or do you see the broken me  Do you see all pain  or do you just see my pain or do you just see my joy   Do you see what i have become  in searching for one thing  that would set my sad soul free  Look into these eyes  And dive into my soul  And tell me am i a  Shattered piece of glass                     or a  stunning sapphire                                                    -By Raghu yadav

SCREECHING HALT

Image source: Pinterest It's so astonishing how little things demolish the high rising buildings, whereas, on the other hand, they can fill the world with glory and grace. The same goes with full stops(.) The thing which we know as just being a punctuation mark since the very beginning of learning grammar sometimes either makes a conversation the happily ever after stuff or a once upon a time dream. I guess, its importance grew as we grew up.  The dot has seen so much that we are hiding not from the world but from ourselves. It knows the true us, not the one that's painted across the world. It has seen how sometimes we thrive to make a sentence as polite as possible because, in the end, the mark is the decider of what the receiver is gonna think.  It has seen our desires to conquer everything to our beliefs of destroying everything. It has seen our triumphs as well as terminations. Our beliefs as well as betrayal. Our determination as well as devastation. Our journe

What does Freedom mean to You?

This Independence Day, we asked our members, a simple question, What does Freedom mean to you? We got numerous submissions, all so good. It's amazing to see how a simple word can mean so much to each and everyone, and yet it's meaning different from person to person.  If you don't follow us on Instagram (which you should totally do btw), here's a small glimpse of all the entries we got. View this post on Instagram A post shared by SOA ENGLISH CAFE (@soaenglishcafe) We also wanted to share, what we think, were the Top 3 entries. And so starting with No #3, written by Suchitra Satapathy : Freedom is an open expression of thoughts and feelings. To feel enlightened with one's thoughtful notations is what we term as freedom. The freedom to utter whatever is radiating in your mind that could satisfy your inner soul and release all the stress and thoughts conquering your mind. As humans, there's always an overflow of emotions. Voici
